Advanced Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony 2010

The Consortium for Learning (CfL) is a registered charity working with and supporting the network of Work Based Learning (WBL) providers in the Humber sub-region and was created by the network to provide representation and support, with the aim of raising the profile and increasing participation in WBL including Apprenticeships. Apprenticeships have increased in popularity in recent times and are seen by this government and all other major political parties as an essential ingredient in the skills solutions for this country. Apprenticeships bring considerable value to organisations, employers, individuals and the economy. They provide employers with a highly skilled workforce and offer young people an excellent opportunity to develop the skills and qualities needed by employers and launch rewarding careers.

In celebration of Apprenticeships locally CfL hosts an annual Advanced Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony.  Our ceremony recognises the hard work by local young people in completing and achieving their Advanced Apprenticeships and the commitment of local employers for their investment and support in Apprenticeships.

Graduation 2008 This will be the fifth year that we have held the Advanced Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony and the 2010 ceremony will take place on the 22 October 2010 at the Hull City Hall.  We are seeking a number of local organisations to support the ceremony, offering sponsorship opportunities to further demonstrate their commitment to Apprenticeships and local young people.

Last year's ceremony attracted an audience of over 450, including over 150 Advanced Apprentices, their friends and families, local business leaders and employers and a range of Apprenticeship providers all demonstrating their commitment to Apprenticeships by backing the Advanced Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony. As a local organisation already associated with Apprenticeships, we would like to offer you the opportunity to take out one of our sponsorship packages for this year's ceremony.  This will enable your organisation to benefit from the ceremony publicity and gain further recognition as a supporter of Apprenticeships and local young people.Due to the prestigious and high profile nature of the Advanced Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony and the limited number of sponsorship opportunities available, we expect demand for sponsorship to be high.  To make the most of this opportunity and ensure that your organisation gets the recognition it deserves, we recommend an early expression of interest to avoid disappointment.

Information about each of the Sponsorship Packages and how to confirm your interest as a sponsor is detailed in the attached leaflet. We already have our first two sponsors committed!  Aimhigher Humber has confirmed that they will sponsor the entire ceremony along with Hull College who will sponsor the flowers and refreshments at the 2010 Advanced Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony.   Like all our sponsors, Hull College will be acknowledged for their sponsorship during the ceremony and their logo displayed in the souvenir programme received by all guests attending the ceremony.

I am sure you will agree that the ceremony not only provides you with an ideal opportunity to recognise the contribution young people and Apprenticeships make, but also to promote your organisation as a forward thinking investor in Apprenticeships.
