CfL leads Apprenticeship Week

Apprenticeship Week, a national approach to highlight the talents and skills of Apprentices and celebrate the value of Apprenticeships, will take place on Monday 07 to Friday 11 February 2011.

Apprenticeship Week

CfL will lead the local Humber approach with an exciting timetable of activity meeting the four themes of:

·         A great way to start your career

·         Moving on Up

·         Good for Business

·         The Big Thank you.

CfL has brought together the local authorities, media, Apprenticeship providers and other key partners to develop a range of activities over the week involving young people, current and past Apprentices and employers.  Activity will include a ‘Question Time’ involving the Humber Apprentice Panel, employers, Apprenticeship providers and NAS, HE visits and editorial in local press.

The full timetable of activity can be downloaded below

Eight providers have confirmed their participation into the activities across the week as well as many delivering their own activity within their institutions. The timetable will be circulated across partners and with local media to maximise coverage and invitations to the activities taking place.

Whilst the timeframe for the preparation and execution of the timetable has been short, CfL hopes that the activities developed will see a well coordinated, collaborative approach to the promotion of Apprenticeships as part of the National Apprenticeship Week across the Humber.

It is hoped that preparations for activity for the 2012 Apprenticeship Week will take much earlier and CfL would be keen to undertake this activity again next year across the Humber and North Yorkshire.
