CfL’s Apprenticeship Handbook to showcase North Yorkshire provision for the first time
CfL are in the process of developing the 2011-2012 Apprenticeship Handbook. Unlike previous years were the handbook has solely featured provision from the Humber, this year’s handbook will feature provision on offer in North Yorkshire.
Feedback from previous years Humber handbook have been very positive with schools, Connexions and users stating that the Handbook provides an easy to read access to the Apprenticeships available in the Humber sub-region and quick reference contact details of Apprenticeship and Foundation Learning Providers in the sub-region. As with the previous Handbook the detail in the hard copy publication will not be to duplicate the online Area Prospectus but to enhance this as a vehicle to provision available.
The handbook will refer to the area prospectus and detail the providers that deliver Apprenticeships in each of the occupational sectors, together with provider contact details and website in the appendix as previous years. The matrix will also be a key feature of the handbook.
28,000 copies of the handbook will be developed and distributed to all secondary schools across the Humber sub-region and North Yorkshire, sufficient for each Year 11 pupil to receive their own copy and copies to all Connexions centres for distribution to young people seeking Apprenticeship places. A number of copies will be delivered all featured Apprenticeship providers and an electronic version will be made available for use on central systems including the CfL website. If you have any comments or queries regarding the Handbook, please do not hesitate to contact Dave on (01482) 638508 alternatively you can e-mail him at dave@cflhumber.org.uk.
