Pay and Progression
Earn while you learn.
Getting paid while you learn might sound too good to be true – but as an Apprentice you really do get the best of both worlds. Apprenticeships are employer led, therefore employment throughout is a key requisite. Most Apprentices are employed and paid a wage, a minimum of £80 per week. However, if employment is not immediately available, you could commence a Programme Led Apprenticeship where you may receive an allowance* until employment is secured.

The thought of a job for life is now outmoded and you can expect to work for an increasing number of employers during your career. Acquiring the broad range of transferable skills needed for the future ensures that you will be well placed to meet this challenge.
Progression
An Apprenticeship can help career advancement as well as opening up doors to higher level qualifications on a full-time, part-time or flexible basis at University, Higher Education College or through the Apprenticeship Provider.
Below is an illustration of the progression routes available from an Apprenticeship.
Higher level qualifications do not just mean an Honours degree, there are a range of higher level qualifications available from higher level NVQ’s, Foundation degrees to a Diploma of HE. Universities and Higher Education Colleges recognise Advanced Apprenticeship achievement as part of their entry requirements.
