  • Tammy Aldred – Planning & Performance Manager
    TA Tammy Aldred joined CfL in March 2003. Initially Tammy was the organisation’s Schools Liaison Officer a key activity for CfL, providing a unique service to secondary schools in the Humber sub-region offering consistent information on the work based learning route, including Apprenticeships and E2E. 

    Since 2003 Tammy has progressed with the company and now holds the position of Planning and Performance Manager.  In this role Tammy takes the lead on CfL activities performance monitoring, overseeing a team whose focus includes school engagement, participation and promotional activity.  As there are currently over 30 Apprenticeship Providers in the Humber sub-region, the promotion of the Apprenticeship route enables all young people to have access to unbiased information and the full range of Apprenticeship provision available in the Humber.

  • Paul Robinson – Information & Communication Co-ordinator
     

    Graduation 2010 Avant/Cfl tEAMPaul joined CfL in September 2004 initially in a workforce development role. His current role as Information & Communication Co-ordinator is to increase participation within Work Based Learning across the Humber sub-region in all occupational areas.

    This is done through delivering lesson length workshops with years 10, 11, 12 and 13 with a slightly different focus depending on the age group. Paul is currently developing with one school a year 9 engagement activity.

    As part of his role Paul regularly attends careers events and schools parents evenings with the focus on engaging the wider audience e.g. parents, carers and guardians who often play an important role in a young person’s decision making process post 16.

    Within Paul’s representative role he attends meetings on behalf of the WBL network with schools, Local Authorities and other partner organisations.

    Paul gained experience in retail management and training for 10 years and then spent the following 4 years working for a training provider covering recruitment, marketing and Health & Safety.

  • Dave Thompson – Information & Communication Administrator

    Dave Thompson Dave joined CfL in December 2005 initially in a Contracts Administrator role, having previously gained experience in customer service.

    Dave’s current role as Information and Communication Administrator is to assist the Information and Communication Co-ordinator in increasing participation within WBL across the Humber sub-region as well as increasing the awareness of Apprenticeships.

    Dave is currently undertaking an Advanced Apprenticeship in Customer Service and is an active member of the Regional Learner Panel, which provides an opportunity for learners to express their views and make an active difference to policies and procedures within all aspects of learning.  As a result of this experience Dave facilitates a local forum for Apprentices, the ‘Humber Apprentice Panel’ (HAP) which provides an opportunity for Apprentices across the Humber sub region to share their experiences.

    Previously Dave worked at the Job Centre before spending 12 months travelling and working around Europe.

  • Steve Roe - Chief Executive

    Steve A seasoned advocate for Work Based Learning (WBL) of over 20 years, Steve held a variety of posts within the sector, including WBL providers and funding bodies before joining CfL in May 2003. 

    As Chief Executive, Steve supports the board of charity trustees, agreeing the strategic direction for the organisation and ensuring charity commission and sound corporate governance requirements are implemented.

    Steve also oversees the operational team within CfL and supports the development of services and activities to take forward the organisations objectives.

    In its representative capacity, CfL attends a range of strategic events, fora, groups and meetings on behalf of the WBL provider network locally, sub-regionally, regionally and nationally.  Steve mostly fulfils this regional and national role, including the regional LSC and the developing groups of its successor bodies and developing relationships and partnerships with key organisations including the other WBL network organisations in the region, ALP, LLUK and LSIS.
